The majority of my guiding is done out of a trailered 17 ft long aluminum pram with a 30 hp, 4 stroke outboard engine and electric motor.

The boat is equipped with pedestal seats, carpeted flooring, and a carpeted front casting deck. This simple interior design minimizes places to tangle or catch fly lines. This boat offers ample room for 1 or 2 anglers and the flat bottom design makes it an extremely stable casting platform.

I also fish smaller waters where road conditions or shoreline access does not allow the use of the bigger trailered boat. These lakes are fished with a very stable 11 ft aluminum pram that is ideal for me and one angler.

The pram is equipped with comfortable fish-on padded seats, carpeted floor, and an electric motor. Several of these small lakes I like to fish are more remote, require four wheel drive access, and support bigger fish.

The fishing we will do is from an anchored boat, casting and retrieving floating or sinking lines or fishing with strike indicators and floating lines. Our goal will be to match the food sources that the trout are feeding on so we will always be on the lookout for moving or feeding fish. You will learn a lot about bugs and fish while hopefully catching your share of trout when we are out on the water. The water I choose to fish on a particular day is based on the following number of factors:

• specific interests of the client, i.e. opportunity for big fish or lots of fish
• current reports
• insect hatches
• matching the skill level of the client to the right lake

Each guided day includes the following:

• return transportation to Kamloops area hotel or pre-arranged meeting place
• full lunch with snacks, soft drinks, and water
• all flies for the day
• use of Sage premium rods, reels, fly lines (you are welcome to use your own gear as well)
• typical day on the water is 8 to 9 hours of fishing time
